Fairhope will once again be filled with witches, warlocks and Halloween magic as the annual Fairhope Witches Ride returns on Oct. 24.
Hundreds of participants are expected to take part in the festive ride through downtown, which begins at 6 p.m. The event is followed by the Witches Ball, held at the Halstead Amphitheater.
The ride is not just for fun – it serves a purpose. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Baldwin Humane Society, the county's first no-kill rescue, founded in 1979. The organization works to provide care and adoption services for local animals in need.
Attendees must be 21 or older to participate in the ride and the ball, though all ages are welcome to line the streets and watch the witches and warlocks glide through the charming downtown area. The evening's entertainment will feature live music by popular band The Tip Tops, and several food trucks will be on-site to offer a variety of options throughout the night.
The Witches Ball is a BYOB event, with attendees encouraged to bring coolers and chairs for a night of music, food and dancing under the stars. No e-bikes, golf carts, walking participants or pets are allowed during the ride.
This community-centered event is organized by a dedicated group of local women to support a good cause while offering a unique way to celebrate Halloween in Fairhope. In case of rain, the ride will be canceled, but the ball will still take place at Oak Hollow Farm.
