Alyssa Corbitt, a dedicated Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) adviser at Elberta Middle School, has been honored with the prestigious FCCLA Adviser Mentor Award.

This award recognizes her exceptional commitment to mentoring new advisers within the FCCLA community and her outstanding contributions to the organization.

The FCCLA Adviser Mentor Award is given to advisers who have achieved Master Adviser Recognition and have dedicated at least two years to assisting new advisers. Awardees must have assumed adult leadership roles within FCCLA, conducted adviser workshops, attended training sessions and effectively utilized national and state FCCLA resources. Corbitt's work in these areas showcases her qualities as an exceptional mentor and leader.

"I am continually inspired by the dedication of FCCLA's Chapter Advisers," said Sandy Spavone, Executive Director of FCCLA. "Recipients of the Adviser Mentor Award serve as true role models, exemplifying the organization's highest standards of mentorship and leadership."

In addition to her mentoring efforts, Corbitt has played a vital role in promoting FCCLA throughout Baldwin County. She has encouraged fellow advisers to attend state conferences and participate in local and state competitive events, as well as community service projects. Notably, she founded and directs Baldwin County's FCCLA STAR Events Competition, further showcasing her commitment to enhancing the FCCLA experience for students and advisers alike.

Corbitt was officially recognized with the 2024 Adviser Mentor Award during the Adviser Recognition & Fashion Show General Session at the 2024 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle this summer. The event, attended by thousands of FCCLA members, advisers and supporters, celebrated Corbitt's significant contributions to the FCCLA community and her ongoing dedication to fostering growth and leadership within the organization.
