Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre is offering several opportunities for students, schools and community members this fall, including auditions for Disney’s "High School Musical JR," student matinee performances, youth theatre classes and sponsorship opportunities.

The organization will stage Disney’s "High School Musical JR" at the Daphne Civic Center as part of the 20th anniversary of Disney’s "High School Musical." Auditions are open to students in fifth through 12th grade and will be held Aug. 10 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholson Center for the Arts.

The production is designed for performers of all experience levels and will focus on themes including teamwork, inclusion, leadership and friendship.

“Whether you join us from the stage, the audience, the classroom, or behind the scenes, we would love to welcome you into the Eastern Shore Rep community this fall,” Erin Langley, founder, executive director and artistic director of Eastern Shore Rep, said in an email.

The theater also is offering school-day performances of Disney’s "High School Musical JR" for students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. Performances will take place Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Daphne Civic Center.

Student and chaperone tickets are $7, while teachers may attend free of charge.

Langley said in the email the field trip program introduces students to live theater while encouraging discussions about self-expression, collaboration, inclusion and community.

For younger students, the organization’s Kids Academy will offer musical theater classes for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Programs are led by Eastern Shore Rep’s creative team and conclude with a performance for family and friends.

Fall offerings include Disney’s "101 Dalmatians KIDS," which runs Aug. 17 through Nov. 16, and Disney’s "The Jungle Book KIDS," which runs Aug. 19 through Nov. 18.

The organization also is seeking sponsors for its 2026-27 season. According to Eastern Shore Rep, sponsorship support helps fund productions, student scholarships, school matinee programs, artist training and travel opportunities.

“The doors are open. Let’s create something remarkable together,” Langley said.
