Make-A-Wish Alabama will bring its annual Wish Night gala to downtown Mobile on Sept. 25, offering an evening of fine dining, live entertainment and powerful stories to benefit children with critical illnesses.
Presented by Wind Creek, the event will take place at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel. According to a news release, doors will open at 6 p.m., and the evening will feature a bourbon pull, wish kid appearances, live music and dancing as well as special mission moments highlighting the impact of granting wishes.
The South Alabama region currently has 38 children waiting for wishes. Proceeds from the gala will help grant those wishes, which research shows can boost the physical and emotional strength children need to fight critical illnesses.
“It’s an honor to shine a spotlight on the incredible impact being made in the Mobile area,” said Tracy Bennett Smith, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Alabama. “Wish Night is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of the hope, generosity and community spirit that drives our mission forward. We’re excited to gather in September with the families, volunteers and supporters who make wishes come true across South Alabama.”
Tickets, tables and sponsorship opportunities are available at www.alabamawishnight.org.
Make-A-Wish Alabama has granted more than 1,500 wishes since its founding, serving children in all 67 Alabama counties. The organization is one of 58 Make-A-Wish chapters in the U.S., which together have granted more than 330,000 wishes nationwide.
