DAPHNE — Have you met BOB?
BOB is the acronym for Brothers on the Bay, a new monthly program designed to help everyday men come together and strengthen each other through Christian values.
The first meeting is planned for July 24, 11:45 a.m., at Daphne’s Bayfront Park. Men from area churches will gather for food, fellowship and encouragement. The featured speaker will be Steve Day.
Day recently donated a kidney to his son John.
The meal will be catered by Chick-fil-a and will include a chicken sandwich meal with a drink for $5. Guests can pay at the door, but are asked to make reservations so that appropriate arrangements can be made for food and seating.
This event is for all and the attire is casual. RSVP to neil@dumc.org or call the Daphne UMC Community Life Center office at 626-2287.
“This is a time for men to bring a friend to enjoy this fellowship and food,” Community Life Center Director Neil Beasley said.
“If you want to share, this is a time to tell all about your men’s group at your church or Bible study at your place of business.”
