Bridging the generation gap

LOXLEY, Ala. — Every year, Loxley Elementary kids have written letters to World War II veterans that are going on or are coming back from the Honor Flight.

This is a special moment for the veterans. They are flown over to Washington D.C., to the Veterans’ Memorial.

For us, this is a time when we can thank the veterans and salute the troops we have in Iraq fighting for our country. Without men and women who are brave enough to fight for our country, we might not be able to do all the stuff we can today.
