The Bay Minette Youth Soccer League kicked off a new season on Saturday, March 23, at the brand new soccer fields at the Bay Minette Sports Complex.
As part opening ceremonies, the Recreation Department thanked all those who had been involved in the planning, design and construction of the new fields. Councilman Mike Phillips extended that thanks to the Rec Department and the countless volunteers and coaches who help make youth soccer possible.
BMYS board members Patrick Cox, Renee Davis, Daniel Gates and Luke Nelson took the first kicks to start the season. A ribbon cutting ceremony was also held to officially open the new park.
The teams will all be sporting jerseys made by 251Graphix in Bay Minette.
