Baptist Health Care Foundation is teaming up with local Honda dealers this October to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation’s Mammogram Fund, which provides year-round access to mammograms for individuals in need throughout the community.
For 16 years, the Mammogram Fund has played a vital role in breaking down financial barriers to early breast cancer detection. Since its inception, the program has provided screenings for 3,024 patients. Of those, 813 required additional testing and 36 were diagnosed with breast cancer.
“Early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer,” Heather Moorer, Foundation director, said in a news release. “Every screening funded through the Mammogram Fund represents a life that could be changed or even saved. We are deeply grateful to our donors and partners who make this possible for those in need.”
As part of its breast cancer awareness initiative, the Foundation is hosting a chance-to-win drawing throughout October. The grand prize includes a $250 gift card and merchandise from The Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach, a two-night stay at Oyster Bay Boutique Hotel, and a Pyrite Doublet Mini Pendant necklace from Jewelers Trade Shop.
Tickets are one for $25 or five for $100 and are available through October. One winner will be randomly selected at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, and announced on the Baptist Health Care Foundation Facebook page. The total prize package is valued at $1,650. Participants do not need to be present to win. No purchase is necessary, and prizes are not transferable.
