Baldwin County High School celebrated the induction of its newest members into the National Honor Society during a ceremony Sept. 16.

The event highlighted the organization's commitment to the four pillars of scholarship, service, leadership and character.

The ceremony began with the new member pledge and included the lighting of candles, symbolizing the honor and commitment of the inductees. Current members participated in a promenade around the room, showcasing the unity and pride of the society. Following the formalities, a reception was held for the new members and their families.

The newly inducted members are senior Byron Morales-Rodrigues and juniors Marissa Anderson, Keaton Betts, Gavin Boatright, Zoe Brandt, Melinda Coleman, Laniya Hart, Brianna Powell, Mathew Roley and Roman Waters. Their induction into the National Honor Society signifies their dedication to academic excellence and community involvement.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the National Honor Society will be led by officers Eli Aaron serves as president, Andi McKissack as vice president, Jada Gray as secretary, Olivia Ferguson as treasurer, Taylor Robertson as historian and Hope Bates as sergeant-at-arms. Faculty advisors Alex Homan and Donna Johnson will support the society's activities and initiatives throughout the year.
