SAUCIER, Miss. — Golf’s favorite legends are headed to Mississippi this month for the new Rapiscan Systems Classic played March 22-25 at the magnificent Fallen Oak golf course in Saucier, just north of Biloxi. Formerly known as the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, this event has attracted top names from the PGA Champions Tour including members of the World Golf Hall of Fame to the sunny southland, for heated competition.
Defending Champion Miguel Angel Jimenez, back to back winner in 2016-17, returns to defend his championship along with Berhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Scott McCarron, Kevin Sutherland, and John Daley (confirmed at press time), plus a star studded field of players to be added.
Ranked in the Top 100 Links in America, Fallen Oak golf course is a beautiful 510-acre tract designed by Top Fazio fifteen miles north of the Coast. It runs adjacent to the Desoto National Forest. Just over an hour’s drive from Daphne, even less from Mobile, it’s an easy daily commute.
