Where to find shelters in Baldwin County during Isaias

Baldwin County will open a shelter on Thursday afternoon at the Baldwin County Coliseum, 19477 Fairground Road, Robertsdale.

Pets are allowed (domestic dogs and cats, limit two per household, according to this year’s Stay Alert storm preparedness guide published by Gulf Coast Media in partnership with Baldwin County Emergency Agency).

All pets must have up-to-date rabies and core vaccinations. Owners must brins crates, food, water and supplies.

BRATS (Baldwin County Regional Area Transit System) will assist with transportation for residents and their crated pets during declared evacuations. To arrange transportation, call 251-972-6817.

FOLEY

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley will open as a Safer Place shelter for anyone in the community who needs a safe place to shelter from the storm, including those who are unhoused or don’t want to stay in their home.

It will open on Friday, with the time to be announced soon.

Bring all necessary medications, a blanket and pillow if possible, along with any other essential personal items you may need.

NEED A RIDE?

Sea Glass Initiative can help provide transportation to an available emergency shelter or safer place for unhoused people. Transportation will be available through Friday morning, with service ending later Friday morning for the safety of staff and drivers.
