PLEASURE ISLAND - The Sirens of the Sea will sponsor their Third Annual condo tour, “A View from the Top” on Saturday, March 6. Five luxurious condos and one historic bed and breakfast, all located on the south side of the Beach Highway, will be featured.

From the spectacular view offered by the 14th floor penthouse in La Riva to the historic charm of the Original Romar House Bed and Breakfast in Orange Beach, the tour offers spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico and varied examples of interior decorating.

After entering the pedestrian gate at La Riva, visitors will be escorted through one of the premier private complexes in Perdido Key.  Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fisher of Mississippi have filled their five bedroom condo with original artwork and unique accents from decorative ceiling fans to the use of fabrics and colors on the walls. In La Riva West, Mr. and Mrs. Todd Palmer have chosen a more traditional look for their residence. Highlights in this condo are the use of various woods and stone work along with elegant furnishings.

In Capris, the Fishers have opened their guest condo for the tour.  Decorated in a more contemporary minimalist style, the focal point is the view that is unobstructed from the living room and dining area.  Welcoming their guests are hospitality pineapples used throughout the condo.

The Nautlus is an unusual building in that each floor contains only one residence. The 8th floor condo of Mr. and Mrs. Jones of Monroeville offers a glimpse into the Mediterranean. Of special interest are the murals and mosaics that grace the walls of their home.

Phoenix West is one of the newest complexes in Orange Beach that has drawn rave reviews.  The 12th-floor condo of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Kinney offers a spectacular view from the west corner of the building.  Decorated in vivid pastels and featuring a view from every room, it is a taste of tropical living.

Fully restored after Ivan, the Original Romar House if Alabama’s first seaside Bed and Breakfast Inn.  With five individually appointed rooms, an upstairs suite, and a beautiful cottage, the Original Romar House offers a relaxed atmosphere in quaint surroundings. Owner Jerry Gilbreath and manager Darrell Finley along with the Sirens will be on hand to welcome guests.

In addition to the tour, ticket holders will be eligible for prize baskets offered at each of the six stops on the tour. Coupons offered by two area restaurants, Lester’s of Orange Beach and The Shrimp Basket will be given at the doors of the La Riva condos.

Tickets for “A View from the Top” are available at The Beach House Boutique in Pelican Place, Jewel’s Beach Salon in Orange Beach and Jubilee Apparel and Gifts in Bayou Village in Gulf Shores. The price of the tickets is $20. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Christian Service Center, and a portion will be applied to the Sirens of the Sea Scholarship Fund for high school graduates.
