Father’s Day is Sunday, and if you do not have time to make plans, we have you covered. There are plenty of events happening most weekends in our area, but we have compiled a list of events and activities that are sure to please the dad in your life.

Bourbon Flights and Ribs
If you don’t want to cook dinner for Dad, why not take him to The Hope Farm for their Father’s Day special event: Bourbon Flights and Ribs? All weekend long, The Hope Farm will offer bourbon flights for $35 during dinner service. The flights include Weller Antique 107, Weller Special Reserve and Blanton’s Single Barrel. The rib special is only available while supplies last, so don’t wait. Guests can order a half ($16) or full ($30) rack of ribs. Visit thehopefarm.com for more information.

Where: The Hope Farm, 915 Nichols Ave., Fairhope

Father’s Day at OWA
Sure, Father’s Day is a day all about Dad, but the whole family should get to have fun, too, right? OWA Parks and Resort has two whole days of fun planned for Dad. Activities range from ugly tie decorating and lawn games to a "dive-in movie" (a general admission to Tropic Falls is required). For more information or a schedule of events, visit visitowa.com.

Mobile Bay Fly Fishing Clinic
Nothing says "Happy Father’s Day" like fishing. The Lost Angler Fly Shop in Daphne is hosting a fly-fishing clinic where they will discuss tackle, casting, knots, fly tying and more. The day will also include speakers, demos and the opportunity to check out some of the newest equipment on the market.
When: Saturday, June 17, from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: The Lost Angler Fly Shop, 2007 U.S. Hwy 98, Daphne

Corn Festival; Boat Show and Fishing Expo
Hit the Father’s Day trifecta with the combo Corn Festival, Boat Show and Fishing Expo at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermen’s Market. The seventh-annual Corn Festival hosts your favorite vendors, a corn-eating contest and activities for the children. The Boat Show and Fishing Expo will offer a range of boats for sale as well as information sessions on fishing and boating best practices, licensing and more. It is a perfect event for anyone new or experienced.
While you are at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fisherman’s Market you can pick up locally sourced ingredients to prepare the perfect Father’s Day meal.
