Originating in January 2021, the event was the brainchild of Chase Sharp, a local figure dedicated to uplifting families and small businesses within the community. Tragically, Sharp's life was cut short in a car accident just a week before the event's anticipated return in September 2023.

In tribute to Chase's vision, his wife has joined forces with event organizer and manager, Christie Denham, to revive the Bay Minette Swap Family Fun Day, beginning May 25. The event promises a diverse range of attractions, including a chicken swap and local business vendors offering farm animals and products for sale to interested buyers.

Moreover, attendees can look forward to an array of family-friendly activities, such as games, prizes, giveaways, crafts and opportunities to interact with adorable animals. The primary objective of the event is to infuse Bay Minette with joy and vitality while simultaneously bolstering local small businesses and contributing to the town's economic prosperity.

Bay Minette Swap is open to sponsorships from businesses who are unable to attend the event as vendors but are interested in marketing opportunities.
