ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The city of Orange Beach Parks & Recreation Department will hold its 3rd annual Youth Triathlon on April 4.
The event, known as “Tri’ for a Cure”, is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and will be held around the city’s Recreation Center Complex, located on Canal Road, approximately 1 mile east of Highway 161.
All youth between the ages of 7-14 are invited to participate. The event is limited to the first 100 registrations with an entry fee of $25.
Distances include a 50-yard swim for ages 7-10 and a 100-yard swim for ages 11-14; 2 mile bike ride for ages 7-10 and a 3.5 mile bike ride for ages 11-14: and 1/2 mile run for ages 7-10 and 1 mile run for ages 11-14.
All race activities will begin at 9 a.m. with race packets available the day before at the Aquatics Center and on race day beginning at 7 a.m.
Entry forms are available at Orange Beach City Hall, Aquatics Center and the Recreation Center.
