Toast for the Coast brings Gulf Coast conservation to center stage

Posted

The Gulf Coast is getting a night of its own.

Toast for the Coast will bring together community leaders, conservation advocates, local businesses and coastal supporters Saturday, Nov. 21, for an evening celebrating the region’s natural beauty while helping invest in its future.

The fundraising gala is scheduled for 5:30 to 10 p.m. at Coastal Orange Beach, 25722 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach. The evening will feature fine food, handcrafted cocktails, live entertainment and opportunities for meaningful giving, all in support of organizations working to protect the Gulf Coast.

Every ticket purchased helps raise awareness and critical funding for local environmental and conservation initiatives. The goal is to help ensure the region’s waterways, wildlife, beaches and natural resources continue to thrive for generations to come.

The evening will benefit Mobile Baykeeper, Sea, Sand and Stars, Perdido Key Association, Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation, Gulf Coast Eco Center, Auburn University Gulf Coast Engineering Research Station, Pensacola & Perdido Bays Estuary Program, Alabama Coastal Foundation and Alabama Coastal Cleanup.

Guests can attend as individuals or support the event through sponsorship packages.

Individual tickets are $250 for one seat and include dinner, the program and access to the live and silent auctions. Additional sponsor packages are available for those looking to make an even greater impact.

The silent auction will offer plenty of incentive to bid generously, with exclusive experiences, luxury getaways, local treasures and unique gift packages up for grabs.

Among the featured items are a Willie Nelson signed picture-wrapped acoustic guitar, a framed Rock Music Legends Led Zeppelin Starship piece, a Caddyshack flag signed by Chevy Chase and an Ella Langley signed picture-wrapped guitar, along with many other items.

The concept is simple: Bid with purpose and leave with something unforgettable.

Organizers say Toast for the Coast is about more than one evening of food, entertainment and fundraising. It is an opportunity to celebrate the people and organizations working every day to protect the places Gulf Coast residents and visitors call home.

From waterways and beaches to wildlife and other natural resources, the event aims to turn an evening of celebration into a lasting investment in the coast.
