The 29th Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show returns to The Wharf Saturday, Feb. 27. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is a major fundraiser for the Makos Academics Arts and Athletics Club and Orange Beach middle and high school. The 2020 event was attended by an estimated 20,000 people.

To help with social distancing for this year’s event, the Kids’ Zone has been eliminated and the number of vendors reduced to allow more space between. Sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the site and attendees are asked to wear masks.

The car show, featuring antique, classic and hot rods will be located on the west side of The Wharf and cars will be spaced out to allow for social distancing. The registration fee is $50 in advance and $75 the day of the show. The lineup begins at 8 a.m. All vehicles must be in place by 9:30 a.m. Awards are presented to the Top 10 cars and there is a 50/50 split the pot raffle.

The 2021 Seafood Festival 5K is a certified and family friendly run. The race takes participants down the scenic Back Country Trail in Orange Beach. The entry fee is $25 per person and includes a t-shirt. To register visit https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/OrangeBeach/2021SeafoodFestival5K.
