FOLEY – The Sun Belt Conference got two steps closer to finding its women’s soccer champion after Monday’s opening round at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex.
Marshall and Georgia Southern took down Appalachian State and Southern Mississippi respectively to advance to Wednesday’s quarterfinals.
The Sun Belt Conference is set to hand out a women’s soccer championship in Foley for the seventh season this weekend. South Alabama has won all but one of those conference championships (Little Rock won in 2018) and drew Marshall in the quarterfinal.
