With two goals in Spanish Fort’s 10-0, area win over Baldwin County Tuesday night, senior captain Colin Spuler tied then set the all-time program record for career goals at 76 total over 58 games played.

Joe Quinn, a member of the Toros’ Class of 2019, previously held the record at 75 career goals over five full varsity seasons. Quinn went on to play at the University of Mobile.

Spuler, a four-year starter who earned South MVP honors for his two goals in last summer’s AHSAA All-Star game, has helped Spanish Fort climb to Class 6A’s No. 7 in the newest Alabama High School Athletic Association coaches’ poll with now an 11-3 overall record. The Toros were scheduled to take on Robertsdale Thursday evening at home.

Spanish Fort started 3-0 in Area 2 with two wins over Baldwin County and another over Saraland where the Toros recorded a 22-0 goal differential. Spuler has contributed seven goals to Spanish Fort’s total through the three area matches so far.
