Skip cooking dinner Feb. 19, and support the Christian Service Center.

The Christian Service Center (CSC) welcomed back its annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser in 2023 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Sally. The record-breaking event in 2023 raised $42,000, and 99 volunteers served an estimated 870 people.

The event has historically raised approximately $40,000. The money raised at the event are vital to the center's work and help replenish its Disaster Fund.

CSC provides food and emergency aid to families in need in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan. Assistance typically consists of food and financial help through assistance with rent, utilities or other needs. Due to the seasonality of the area, there has always been an increase in need during the offseason.

CSC is run by volunteers, which keep administration fees low to stretch their funding, which comes from area churches, individuals, businesses as well as grants.

The annual Christian Service Center Spaghetti Dinner is Monday, Feb. 19, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Gulf Shores Methodist Church, building B. Tickets are $10 and are available for purchase at CSC, 317 Dolphin Ave., Gulf Shores or at the door. Dinner is available for dine-in or drive-through.

Sponsorships for the event are also available. For more information on the Christian Service Center, the work they do or this event, visit cscgs.com.
