Shades was started in 2004 by Joe and Mary Jernigan to meet the underserved sunglass market of South Alabama. Over the years, we have expanded to four locations by providing a great selection of name brand sunglasses with professional sales associates whose goal is to find the right sunglasses for you - not what is best for us.
Although the name implies that we only sell sunglasses, at Shades we also recognize that the people like apparel that matches their active lifestyle. Therefore, we also carry several popular clothing lines like Aftco, Columbia, Guy Harvey, Vineyard Vines and many more.
At Shades we are always working to meet the ever changing needs of our customer, so stop by one of our locations and if you don't find what you are looking for, let us know. We will work to get it for you.
At the beach, we're located at the fabulous Wharf complex, at 4776 Mains Street, Orange Beach AL. We're also located just off I-10 in Spanish Fort/Daphne at the Eastern Shore Centre.
We're open Monday - Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm, Sundays noon to 6 pm.
