ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- The George P. Thames Senior Center hosted a program to honor Veterans on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the PZK Civic Center in Robertsdale.
A total of 36 veterans were honored during Wednesday’s ceremony, 21 of which were present to receive a certificate and a pin in appreciation for their service.
Live Oak Village gave a short presentation and Humana presented pins to World War II veteran Rex Aldridge and Charles L. Armstrong as the longest serving veteran.
Lunch was served following a short video presentation on the history of the Star Spangled Banner.
