The Fairhope Police Department is investigating the death of an person who was reported missing Saturday afternoon.

In a statement released on the Fairhope Police Department’s Facebook page, FPD received a report of a missing person who was last seen walking on the pier at the end of Molokai Lane at 3:32 p.m. The Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department along with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and Daphne Search and Rescue responded to assist in the search. The person was found deceased.

The identity has not yet been released to the public, and FPD is investigating. No foul play is suspected.
