The Wharf Amphitheater, Orange Beach's 10,000-seat live music and entertainment venue, announced its third-straight nomination for the Academy of Country Music's (ACM) Outdoor Venue of the Year on Tuesday, April 9.

Other nominees joining The Wharf in this category include Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee; Red Rocks Amphiteatre in Morrison, Colorado; Saint Augustine Ampitheatre in St. Augustine, Florida; and Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California.

The academy was founded in 1964, later hosting its first awards show in 1966, with the goal of connecting country music fans, artists and the industry while promoting new artists, rising talents and nationally recognized superstars.

Outdoor Venue of the Year is among the ACM's annual Industry Awards categories also featuring Arena of the Year, Casino of the Year - Arena, Casino of the Year - Theater, Club of the Year, Don Romeo Talent Buyer of the Year, Fair/Rodeo of the Year, Festival of the Year, Promoter of the Year and Theater of the Year. Winners are set to be announced later this year.

"We are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated again for the [ACM Awards] Outdoor Venue of the year," The Wharf wrote via Instagram. "What an honor to land this nomination alongside some other incredible venues! Our Wharf family can't thank you enough for your continued support!"

Since opening its doors in May 2006 with a sold-out concert by Hank Williams Jr., the Wharf has become one of the largest and most notable music venues on the Gulf Coast. The amphitheater is scheduled to hold concerts by Cole Swindell, Alabama, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Styx + Foreigner, and Train + REO Speedwagon, among others throughout 2024.
