BAY MINETTE - Kenny Breal has been named the president of North Baldwin Infirmary.

Breal joined Infirmary Health in 2015 as executive director of Imaging Services. There he led the openings of three new outpatient imaging centers, as well as the opening of the state-of-the-art Breast Center at Thomas Hospital.

In 2017, Breal was promoted to vice president of clinical operations when he took over responsibility for pulmonary and sleep services, as well as laboratory operations across the health system. During this time he led a successful transition to a partnership with LabCorp.

During the COVID-19 pandemic officials said Breal established numerous avenues for COVID testing both internally and with external partners across the Southeast.

“We are excited to add Kenny Breal to the team at North Baldwin Infirmary,” said Mark Nix, president and chief executive officer of Infirmary Health.

“Kenny has been successful in our organization in building great teams across departments and strives for the highest level of quality healthcare every day, ensuring Infirmary Health remains the first choice for healthcare across the region,” Nix said.

Breal earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama in radiologic technology with a focus on management. He serves on numerous committees across Infirmary Health, and volunteers for several projects across south Alabama and Mississippi.

Ben Hansert, the former president of North Baldwin Infirmary, has accepted the title of chief operating officer at Mobile Infirmary. Hansert will bring his clinical expertise and strong management skills to the largest hospital in Mobile and Baldwin Counties, partnering with Mobile Infirmary President, Susan Boudreau.
