Newcomers welcome Mobile ballet

Posted

The Grand Hotel, Point Clear, was the location for the Eastern Shore Newcomers Sept. luncheon. The program was presented by Karen Kennedy, Managing and Development Director for the Mobile Ballet. Also attending was Zoe Todd, Associate Director of the Eastern Shore Mobile Ballet facility.

Kennedy joined the Mobile Ballet in 2012, bringing 30+ years of experience in non-profit management.

Working with outstanding volunteers, Kennedy has helped raise more than $12 million for Mobile area non-profits.

The program included a fashion show of eleven cast members and their costumes for Sleeping Beauty, which will be presented on March 11 and 12, 2017.

The Mobile Ballet is fortunate to have their own design studio allowing costumes to be made onsite. The fashion show allowed Newcomers to see the intricate details and the imagination that is used in the creation of costumes.
