Billy Myers has been named Volunteer of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2024 by the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary.
Since joining the Auxiliary two years ago, Myers has dedicated nearly 500 hours to volunteering at the information desk of Thomas Medical Center in Daphne. According to Myers, his motivation to volunteer stems from his enjoyment of helping others. His fellow volunteers commend his friendly demeanor and willingness to assist, often stepping in for them when needed.
Originally from Mobile, Myers ventured into a career as a catastrophe claims manager, working independently and for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), before retiring to Baldwin County. He now spends his time indulging in activities such as reading, watching sports, dining with friends and attending services at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Daphne.
Nominations for the Thomas Hospital Volunteer of the Quarter are submitted by members of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary.
