Loxley hosts parade, Christmas in the Park

LOXLEY — Hundreds enjoyed warm weather under cloudy skies, but with no rain, at the town of Loxley’s first Christmas in the Park and tree lighting held Friday, Dec. 10 at the Loxley Municipal Park and Civic Center.

Following the Christmas parade, residents gathered for live entertainment, a nativity scene, face painting and other kids’ activities.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were available to take photos in their sleigh.

The event culminated in the lighting of the Christmas tree by Mayor Richard Teal, with special guest, County Commissioner Billie Jo Underwood.
