Louisiana native and comedian Jen Kober is set to bring her unique brand of Southern humor to Gulfport, Mississippi, on Sept. 7, with a performance at Elephant in the Room.

Kober, known for her energetic storytelling and sharp wit, has captivated audiences across the country with her hilarious take on life's quirks. With roots in the South, Kober has crafted a comedic style that is both relatable and side-splittingly funny, drawing from her upbringing and diverse experiences.

Her accolades include headlining Cirque Du Soleil's Las Vegas show "Mad Apple" and earning the Best Comedic Performance award on NPR's popular storytelling program, "Snap Judgement." Kober's television credits span a range of hit series, including "Hacks," "The Righteous Gemstones," "The Mandalorian," "Dead to Me," "Diary of a Future President" and "American Horror Story."

Kober's latest comedy special, "No Flies On Me," premiered on June 25 through 800 Pound Gorilla Media. The special features Kober at her best, weaving together stories about everything from hometown characters to battles with fruit flies and California candy cartels. Jen Kober's "No Flies On Me" is currently available to stream on YouTube.

"This special is truly the funniest storytelling I've ever done," Kober said in a news release. "And it's all based on my wild adventures out in the world. I'm a Southern Jewish lesbian with a Catholic school education — comedy is what I was built for. Making people laugh has always helped me navigate life's tricky intricacies and embrace my unusual circumstances."

For those eager to catch Kober's performance, the show is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. at Elephant in the Room, located in Gulfport, Mississippi. Tickets are available on the venue's website at www.elephantintheroom228.com. Don't miss the chance to experience an evening of laughter with one of the South's most engaging comedians.
