Louise Swoboda Passmore was a native and a resident of Silverhill, Alabama. She was born January 4, 1931, and passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 92. Louise worked for the Baldwin County Board of Education for 28 years. She was a passionate volunteer at the Oscar Johnson Memorial Library in Silverhill for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a matriarch of the family. Louise loved spending time at the Catholic church playing cards with the ladies and she loved cooking all her special Czech dishes. Her heritage and Silverhill had a very special place in her heart. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William "Bill" Passmore, father Jim Swoboda, Mother Martha Lyrene Swoboda, brothers Jim Swoboda, Charles "Chick" Swoboda and George Swoboda. She is survived by son, Bill (Rhoda) Passmore, Carol (Dennis) King, Julie (Ronnie) Green and Donna (Nick) Southall; grandchildren, Danny King, Jennifer Shipp, Phillip Barnhill, Michael Barnhill, Andrew Barnhill, Lizy Gunn, Kate Dickson, Josh Southall, Keri Green, Katie Green and twelve great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Silverhill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mack Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Oscar Johnson Memorial Library Fund c/o Town of Silverhill, P O Box 309, Silverhill, AL 36576.
