Kim passed away peacefully on Jun. 3, 2024, in Mobile, Alabama. He had a short battle with cancer and was well taken care of at The Retreat Hospice by Saad. He was born April 8, 1955, in Altoona, Pennsylvania and raised in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. His parents were the late Robert C. and Isabel M. (Snyder) Holland. The family later moved to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania where Kim graduated with the Chambersburg Area Senior High School class of 1973. After high school Kim worked locally with a billboard company. He then left the area and lived a quiet life in the South, living most of those years in Foley, Alabama. He worked for Walmart for a short time. He bought and sold heavy equipment at one time and was also involved in revitalization of small towns. His favorite was Asheville, North Carolina. Kim had a love for animals and took in many rescues to call his own over the years. Surviving are three sisters, Constance M. Cullison (William) of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, Beth L. Holland of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Alicia Holland of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are an aunt, niece, two nephews and several cousins. Two brothers preceded him in death as well as his life partner of 29 years Monty C. Boyett. The family would like to thank friend Debbie Daniels for always being there for Kim. He was a Lutheran and had requested that all arrangements be private.
