Leads being followed to ‘conclusion’

DAPHNE, Ala.— Brianna Parish’s autopsy results are still unavailable, according to  a Daphne Police Department spokesperson who said it’s unknown when these tests—“an important component of this case”—will be ready.

Police are still investigating the case, using “numerous leads,” and each is being “investigated to the conclusion of that lead,” Capt. Daniel Bell said.

Preliminary autopsy results have been obtained, according to police, who won’t reveal those, and other information in the case.

“This is a thorough, methodical, and time consuming process,” Bell said. “The Daphne Police are not able to elaborate on specific leads or the information obtained as they may affect the overall investigation.

“This case continues to be the main priority of all Daphne Investigators.”

The half-naked body of Brianna Parish—or “Bri,” as her friends knew her—Nov. 14 was found in woods near the Daphne Utilities sewage plant.

The Daphne High School graduate—who had been in the Mobile area for just two weeks, having left her Texas home—was last seen alive around 1 a.m. at the Bay House Pub.

No official cause of death has been reported, and police haven’t confirmed early reports that Parish was raped.

No suspects have been named, although police two weeks ago had identified Troy MacDonald, 43, of Daphne, as a person of interest.

Police have said drugs may be involved with Parish’s death, but they would not eleborate.
