The Kiwanis Club of Bay Minette presented its inaugural Bruce and Susan Lovett Service Award Scholarship to Saylor Bryant, a recent Baldwin County High School graduate.

Bryant plans to attend Northwest Mississippi Community College, where she will major in exercise science and play volleyball. Her long-term goal is to continue her education at a university, obtain a degree in physical therapy and positively impact her community and its youth.

At Baldwin County High School, Bryant served as secretary-treasurer of the National Honor Society and earned an Academic Banner. She was also a Junior Ambassador for the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and a three-year member of the BCHS volleyball team.

Throughout her high school career, Bryant volunteered to assist faculty with various projects and events.
The scholarship honors Bruce and Susan Lovett for their outstanding service with the Kiwanis Club and their role in re-establishing the organization in Bay Minette. Bruce Lovett was the club's first president, and Susan Lovett served as secretary.
