Easter weekend brings a full lineup of activities for children and families, with egg hunts, storytimes and interactive events happening across the area.
From traditional daytime hunts to glow-in-the-dark adventures and hands-on experiences with animals, there are options for all ages and interests. Many events also include visits with the Easter Bunny, games and treats, giving families plenty of ways to celebrate together and make lasting memories throughout the holiday weekend.
What: Gulf Shores Public Library and Gulf Shores Recreation and Cultural Affairs will host a special Easter storytime featuring stories, activities and a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny. Following the program, children can participate in an outdoor egg hunt organized by age group, weather permitting. For more information, call (251) 968-1176.

What: Wales West Light Railway and RV Resort will present the Cottontail Express, featuring train rides to the “bunny hutch” for visits and photos with the Easter Bunny. Activities include an egg hunt, Easter crafts, mini train rides, bounce house, playground and a foam party scheduled at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Food will be available for purchase and a gift shop will be open. What: Double D’s Burger will host its third annual Easter Egg Hunt, featuring a pickleball tournament beginning at 8 a.m., followed by special activities and the egg hunt beginning at 11 a.m. The event will include prizes, including bicycles for golden egg winners, and opportunities to shop with local sponsors.

What: LuLu’s Gulf Shores will host its annual Easter Egg Dash featuring a beachside egg hunt with a tropical-themed Easter Bunny. The dash will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and will be organized by age groups. Participants should bring their own baskets, and adults will not be allowed in designated areas for children older than age 3.
