This week offers plenty of options for families, from outdoor adventures and hands-on activities to live theater and creative play. Whether they’re casting a line, building with Legos or singing along to a favorite musical, there’s something to spark every interest.
Many events are free or low-cost, making it easy for families to take part throughout the week.

What: Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre will present “Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical” as part of its Theatre on the Bluff series. The outdoor production will feature a cast of local performers and well-known songs from the musical. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Concessions will be available. What: Orange Beach Middle and High School Theatre will present “Seussical Jr.,” a family-friendly musical bringing the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss to life through music, storytelling and colorful characters. Special guest Kevin Chamberlin, a Broadway and Disney performer known for originating the role of Horton in “Seussical,” will appear Friday, May 1, leading a student workshop and joining the evening performance for an encore appearance.
