Helping Hands premieres new location to celebrate 5th year

BAY MINETTE — Helping Hands Care Service, a locally owned and operated home-care service agency, celebrated their five-year anniversary and held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new location on June 23.

At 1601 Hand Ave. in Bay Minette, this location is what Executive Director of Helping Hands Care Service, Latisha Frye, described as more convenient for potential clients.

"We are close to many of the town's medical appointment offices, including the hospital, physical therapy, primary doctors and even some mental health care," Frye said.

Frye said the relocation has not disrupted the organization's commitment to providing 24/7 home-care services. In addition to their core services, Helping Hands Care Service has expanded their offerings to include a residential and commercial cleaning department, as well as a lawn care and maintenance department.

"The biggest challenge we faced was ensuring that everyone was aware of our address change and the associated delays in updating all parties involved with our company," she said.

Despite these hurdles, the organization is now fully operational in their new facility.

The increased space provided by the new location has also allowed Helping Hands Care Service to explore further expansion opportunities.

"We have been discussing additional services we can offer the community in the long term, and we will reach out when those plans are more developed," Frye said. "Our new location puts us in the line of sight for anyone passing by. Before, we were out of the line of sight. This location is a marketer's dream. People now know that we are here to help."
