Mr. and Mrs. John Haber of Orange Beach announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Marie Haber, to Lance Baxter Jones, the son of Taffy Szczuka of Birmingham and Johnny Jones of Dothan, step-son of Lyndall Jones and Dave Szczuka.
The bride-elect graduated with honors from Foley High School and graduated Cum Laude from Troy University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in business administration.
She was a member of Chi Omega sorority and several academic honor societies. She is studying for the CPA exam.
She is the granddaughter of Katherine Stanley of Stapleton, the late Leo and Francis Haber of Elberta, and the late Claude Creighton of Pensacola.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Northview High School and Troy State Univeristy with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing.
He is employed with Navigator Development Group Inc. where he works as a contractor for the U.S. Army at the Air Maneuver Battle Lab at Fort Rucker.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raiford Jones of Dothan, and Tommie Johnson of Birmingham.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. Jan. 24, 2009 at St. Thomas By The Sea Catholic Church in Orange Beach.
