In a nationwide search for who its readers think will be Scorebook Live’s national third baseman of the year, Gulf Shores junior and NC State commit Tia Titi was one of the featured candidates in the voting competition.

Titi was one of 20 third basemen from various classes and states that were included in the running. She was joined by Spain Park’s Katie Flannery in representing Alabama.

As a sophomore for Gulf Shores, Titi racked up a .515 batting average on 34 hits — including 11 doubles, 4 triples and 4 home runs — with 39 RBIs and 23 runs scored over 24 games. She also recorded a .969 fielding percentage with 30 putouts and an assist on 32 total chances.

Over the summer, she was tabbed as the No. 20 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 by Legacy and Legends Softball. Her summer stats included a pop time of 1.7 seconds, an overhand velocity of 75 mph, an exit velocity off a tee at 70 mph and a 20-yard dash time of 3.4 seconds.
