Gulf Shores Police arrest suspect in East 21st Avenue shooting; no one injured

The Gulf Shores Police Department released a statement Sunday evening, reporting that officers responded to a call regarding multiple gunshots fired around 10:24 a.m. in the 400 block of  East 21st Avenue at 10:24 a.m. on Sunday, July 16.

Officers quickly located and detained the suspect, who has not yet been named.

According to the official police statement, no one was injured and the suspect will be charged with multiple offenses.

Further details regarding the shooting have not been released as of yet. 

Currently, the suspect is being held at the Gulf Shores Detention Center, and the department asks that anyone who may have information regarding this incident contact the police department at 251-968-2431.
