Gulf Shores hurricane re-entry passes to expire

Posted

Current City of Gulf Shores hurricane re-entry decals will expire at the end of 2022.

If your property is located outside the corporate limits of the City of Gulf Shores, you will need to obtain a 2023/2024 Baldwin County hurricane re-entry decal. These decals will serve as your re-entry pass to your property if a checkpoint is established during an emergency.

The City of Gulf Shores has agreed to provide two locations to assist Baldwin County with distributing their decals. Decals may be purchased for $5 each at one of the following locations:

  • Gulf Shores City Hall (1905 W 1st St.): Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Gulf Shores City Store (1821 AL-59): Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Proof of residency or property ownership, along with a valid state-issued driver's license for identification, is required when purchasing.

Please note Baldwin County decals do not provide free parking privileges at the City of Gulf Shores paid public parking areas or access to the East Gulf Place city resident only parking lot. Those privileges are afforded only to Gulf Shores corporate limit residents.

If you have any further questions about hurricane re-entry decal distribution, please call Gulf Shores City Hall at (251) 968-2425.
