The days are getting longer and the air is getting stickier, but don't let it keep you at home. Each week there are more events popping up on the Gulf Coast Media Event Calendar to keep everyone in the family busy. Kick this weekend off with the Summer Reading Kickoff in Gulf Shores, forage for mushrooms or take a moonlit paddle for charity. Enjoy the weekend and wherever it takes you.
LoDo Artwalk celebrates National Pride Month
What: LoDo Artwalk celebrates National Pride Month. This month's event will highlight creatives within the community including visual artists, musical performers and local restaurants with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ community. The Artwalk will also celebrate National Candy Month in the most delicious way.
When: Friday, June 10, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Where: Downtown Mobile
Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Kickoff
What: Join the Thomas B. Norton Library for the Summer Reading Program, "Oceans of Possibilities," kickoff party. Unicyclist and juggler, WINK, will be the featured performer for the kickoff event. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will make a presentation and the KONA Ice truck will be on site for a cool treat.

Guided Mushroom Foray
What: Have you ever wanted to forage for mushrooms but don't know enough to do it safely? Go on a guided mushroom foray and learn mushroom identification firsthand. Let Mushroom Man Tan teach you the difference between toxic and edible mushrooms.
When: Saturday, June 11, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Where: Bayfront Park, 6200 Bayfront Park Rd., Daphne
Full Moon Paddle
What: The Orange Beach Wind and Water Learning Center will host a Full Moon Paddle on Wolf Bay. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center. Registration fee includes dinner provided by Luna's and entertainment by Spicy Danger.
When: Sunday, June 12. Dinner starts at 6:15 p.m. and paddle begins at 7 p.m.
Where: The Wind and Water Learning Center, 26267 Canal Road, Orange Beach
