DAPHNE, Ala. — Daphne High School’s freshman orientation is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7.
“Eyes on the Prize,” the theme for this year’s event, welcomes ninth-grade students and their parents.
The schedule is as follows:
•5:30 to 6 p.m.
—Become familiar with your school. Find your classrooms, find your locker, and meet your teachers.
—English, history, math, science and leadership teachers will be there.
—Student guides will be available.
—The PA system will direct people to Trojan Hall for the rest of the orientation.
•6 to 6:45 p.m.
—Eat: Hotdogs and cold drinks provided by the Daphne High School PTSO and the City of Daphne.
—Review clubs and organizations available at DHS.
—Door prizes will be given out.
•6:45 to 7:30 p.m.
—ROTC will present the colors.
—Don Blanchard, principal, will welcome students

—Coach Glenn Vickery gives message for athletes at DHS
