The Foley Senior Center is providing a Grief Support Group for those age 50 and older experiencing loss of a loved one or a significant life change.

The group meets the first and third Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. at the center, 304 E. Rose Ave. in Foley (no RSVP required).

If you or someone you know is dealing with death of a family member or friend, difficulties from life changes, the death of a pet or any life event that has caused grief, this support group offers the opportunity to share experiences and coping strategies with others. The meetings are being facilitated by Springhill Home Health and Hospice.

For more information, call the Center at (251) 943-1877.

Foley Senior Center is open to all area residents who are ages 50 and older. Membership is $15 per year, and instructor-led classes in areas including yoga, exercise, Tai Chi, line dance, ballroom dance and others are just $2 per class for members; $4 for non-members. Other activities are free to members, including "Coffee w/ an Expert," card games, Open Jam music and more.
