Foley residents prepare for Hurricane Isaias

Posted

FOLEY — With Hurricane Isaias approaching, Foley residents are taking steps to protect their homes and property Thursday, Oct. 8, by filling sandbags at the city's Old Public Works facility, located at 120 E. Orchid Ave.

The city is providing free sand, sandbags and shovels, allowing residents to fill their own bags on-site ahead of the storm. Sand bags help create barriers against potential flooding and rising water, as the community is preparing for possible impacts ahead of the category 2 hurricane.
