Foley Public Library celebrates National Family Literacy Month

Posted

November is National Family Literacy Month and the Foley Public Library is celebrating all monthlong.

Stop into the library every Tuesday and Wednesday this month at 10 a.m. for a family-oriented storytime. While it is generally geared toward preschoolers, it is also enjoyed by homeschool children as well. A story is read and followed with a corresponding craft. No reservations are required.

Local author Michelle Nelson-Schmidt is the featured author for Cocoa, Coffee and Doughnuts with an Author Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. She will share her writing process and some of her books. A brief question and answer session will follow. Free cocoa, coffee and doughnuts will be served. Reservations are required for this event and can be done online or by calling (251) 943-1031.

The Foley Public Library hosts programs and activities each month. For more information on these programs or others, visit foleylibrary.org, call (251) 943-1031 or visit Foley Public Library on social media.
