A late-night traffic stop in Foley led to the arrest of a Robertsdale man after officers reported finding liquid methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Police said that at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, officers made contact with Lewis Joseph Jackson, 30, while investigating a traffic violation. During the encounter, officers said they discovered about 11 ounces of liquid methamphetamine in Jackson’s possession.

Jackson was arrested and charged with drug trafficking methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence. Police said the tampering charge stemmed from an attempt to hide and interfere with the recovered contraband.

Jackson was booked into Baldwin County Corrections with bond set at $750,500.
