First responders receive Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at Thomas Hospital

Posted

The City of Orange Beach Fire Chief Mike Kimmerling and Fire Marshal Nelson Bauer (pictured) were among Baldwin County’s first responders to receive doses of Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine Dec. 17 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.

While the very first doses of the vaccine are being administered to health care workers and first responders, there is no set timeline for when the vaccine will be available to the public. Facial coverings and social distancing per state guidelines should continue.
