A tragic incident unfolded late Friday evening, Feb. 23, as a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian claimed one life.
The collision occurred around 9:40 p.m. when a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Timmy O. Williams, 23, of Mobile, struck the pedestrian, resulting in fatal injuries. The pedestrian's identity is awaiting confirmation from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS).
The crash happened on Interstate 10 near the 61-mile marker, approximately seven miles East of Robertsdale.
As Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division conduct an ongoing investigation, no further details are currently available.
