Fall events kick off around Baldwin County, Sept. 23-25: Oktoberfest, Fall Market, Car Show

There are so many events happening this weekend that we couldn't cut it to three or four. The weather may feel like summer, but the events scream fall. Get your lederhosen out of the closet. Big Beach Brewing Company and Fairhope Brewing Company are hosting Oktoberfest events with beer releases and German-themed food. "Disney's The Little Mermaid" Auditions

What: The Expect Excellence Community Theatre will hold auditions for their February production of "Disney's The Little Mermaid." Auditioning actors will be asked to perform a brief monologue, a Disney song and one additional musical theater song. Those attending the dance call will need to learn a short dance combination which can be found on the signup page. Auditions are by appointment only. Visit orangebeachal.gov to register. When: Friday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1 - 5 p.m. Dance call is Sept. 24 from noon - 12:30 p.m. for beginners and 12:30 - 1 p.m. for intermediate level performers.

Big Beach Oktoberfest

What: Some say it is too early. Some say they are late. Either way, join the Oktoberfest fun at Big Beach Brewing Company for the release of Oktoberfest Marzen. Enjoy the day with live music and the German themed menu at Gnarwhal Food Truck.

When: Friday, Sept. 23, noon - 11 p.m.

Fall Market Day

What: Enjoy a beautiful day in downtown Silverhill shopping arts and crafts vendors, food trucks and local produce and more.

FBC Foley Car Show at OWA

What: Returning for its fifth year, the First Baptist Church Foley Car Show at OWA is back. Walk the downtown streets of OWA and enjoy the selection of hot rods, classics and custom builds lining the streets. Bring the family and enjoy a day of snacking, shopping and free kids' activities. Oktoberfest at Fairhope Brewing Company

Malbis Fall Market

What: Enjoy a day at the Historic Malbis Nursery for the Malbis Fall Market. More the 40 local vendors will showcase their goods and food trucks will be on-site.
