On Monday, April 17, after an investigation related to child pornography, investigators with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant.

The investigation and evidence gathered accuse Charles McMahon, a 63-year-old Fairhope man, of using the internet to view, download and possess sexually explicit images of young children.

McMahon was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age.

Homeland Security Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force aided the BCSO during the execution of the search warrant. In a media release, the BCSO said:

“We understand that cooperation with our law enforcement partners is the most effective tool again crime. This case serves as another example of our commitment to partnering with other law enforcement agencies and aggressively investigating crimes against children.”
